Greetings from Bates College, a highly selective liberal arts college in Maine. We are
recruiting for a tenure-track (Assistant Professor) position in clinical, counseling, or
community psychology to begin August 2020. As we indicate in the ad
(
https://apply.interfolio.com/65931<https://urldefense.proofpoint.com/v2/…)dQgcHyWBI5rqRWKvLI&e=>),
we are searching for individuals who currently hold, or are close to holding, a Ph.D. Our
review of files will commence on October 1, 2019. As that date approaches, we are working
to recruit a broad and strong pool of applicants. I write to you today as part of that
effort. If you know individuals who meet the criteria in the ad ("We seek a candidate
who can offer courses and conduct research in areas that address pressing social issues or
problems (e.g., immigration, environmental injustice, poverty, trauma, drug use and abuse,
physical and mental health disparities) and resilience in the face of such problems. We
are interested in attracting candidates who share our commitment to the recruitment,
retention, and mentoring of students from a wide range of underrepresented and
marginalized identities including those from diverse racial, ethnic, and LGBTQAIP
backgrounds. In addition, we seek candidates who can bring interdisciplinary,
intersectional, and social justice perspectives to their teaching and research"),
then we ask that you forward them this message.
If you have any questions please feel free to contact the Chair of Psychology, Dr. Helen
Boucher (hboucher@bates.edu<mailto:hboucher@bates.edu>).
Thank you very much,
Helen Boucher
