We invite you to consider teaching at the Harvard Extension School in the next academic
year. We offer a variety of
modalities<https://extension.harvard.edu/academics/programs/take-a-cours…
for teaching courses online, on campus, or in a hybrid format. You can find out more about
our student
population<https://faculty.extension.harvard.edu/book/about-your-student… in the
Extension School Faculty Handbook. Teaching in the Extension School offers multiple
pedagogical opportunities: the chance to refine existing courses or to incubate new ones,
the occasion to try out new approaches and teaching technologies, and the potential to
develop materials that can be incorporated into your term-time teaching. We have a
dedicated Teaching &
Learnin<https://teach.extension.harvard.edu/home>g
department that can work with you to refine materials, pedagogy, or digital tools.
We start collecting course proposals for the upcoming Fall and Spring terms in
mid-February. For proposal submissions, we ask for a course description and background
information on your teaching experience. You can access the course proposal
tool<https://dceweb.harvard.edu/prod/gowcpro.taf?row=7&_UserReferenc…
with your Harvard key.
If you would like to propose a course for 2022-2023, please reach out to our office with
any questions you have. The deadline to submit proposals for next year is March 15th, with
final decisions to be communicated in May. I look forward to hearing from you and hope to
welcome you to the Harvard Extension School community.
