The Psychology department is seeking Teaching Fellow applicants for PSY 15, Social
Psychology, taught by Professor Fiery Cushman.
Course description: An introduction to social psychological research and theory regarding
everyday behavior, incorporating methods from the life sciences (neuroscience, genetics,
evolutionary biology). Topics include: attitudes and social influence; obedience to
authority; stereotyping, prejudice, and intergroup relations; emotion; interpersonal
attraction; morality and prosocial behavior; and errors of everyday human judgment.
TF duties: Leading weekly sections, holding office hours, grading assignments, attending
lectures, and attending weekly TF meetings. TFs are expected to return grades promptly to
students based on agreed-upon deadlines. Related duties as outlined by the course
instructor.
Lectures will be M/W, 12:00-1:15pm. Sections and office hours are arranged by section
leaders. Weekly TF meeting time is TBD, but will be 1 hour during the regular work week
(9am-5pm weekdays). All TFs in Psychology are encouraged to attend the Bok Center Fall
Teaching Conference.
