The Neuroscience of Mind & Behavior Lab at Indiana University, Bloomington, directed
by Dr. Anne Krendl, is considering applications for a postdoctoral fellow. Position
available immediately, but start date is flexible. Applications will be reviewed as they
are received. The position is designed for a talented and productive researcher with a PhD
in psychology, neuroscience, and an interest in interdisciplinary research. The post-doc
will contribute to NIA-funded research (R01AG070931) examining the mechanisms by which
social connectedness confers resilience to older adults against Alzheimer’s disease. This
project is being led by Dr. Krendl, and will be conducted in collaboration with Co-PI Dr.
Brea Perry from the IU Department of Sociology, Drs. Olaf Sporns, Kurt Hugenberg, and Dan
Kennedy from the IU Department of Psychological of Brain Sciences, and researchers from
the Indiana Alzheimer Disease Research Center.
Dr. Krendl’s lab uses a variety of techniques, including functional neuroimaging, network
neuroscience, and neuropsychological and behavioral testing, to identify the mechanisms by
which social cognition changes over the lifespan. More information on the lab's

The ideal candidate would have a previous training in social or cognitive neuroscience, a
strong quantitative background, and an interest in conducting interdisciplinary research.
Applicants must have good organizational skills, and enjoy working in a collaborative
environment.
The position is available immediately, but the start date can be flexible. We will begin
reviewing applications immediately, and continue reviewing them on a rolling basis until
the position is filled. Salary is commensurate with experience, and includes health
