This is a catalogue of medieval and Renaissance manuscripts from Western Europe in the collection of Nicholas B. Scheetz. Mr. Scheetz’s collection includes codices as well as a Latin sermon of John Wyclif, the earliest (Carolingian) fragment of Seneca the Elder’s *Controversiae*, and a glossed folio of Martianus Capella’s *De nuptiis Philologiae et Mercurii*. This volume is meant to illustrate how to research and teach from manuscript fragments. Mr. Scheetz is donating a copy of this book to every ARL library. He has also agreed to give away 50 additional copies to any other American or Canadian institutional library.
