There is an interesting new book out called Ecclesia: Greek Orthodox Churches of the Chicago Metropolis. This beautifully illustrated book profiles in full color all 59 Greek Orthodox churches in the Chicago Metropolis across six states. I just received my copy for the library here and was amazed at the variety of design and decoration of the churches in the Midwest. This book will be of interest not only to Greek-Americans but also those engaged in the study of the Greek Orthodox Church in America, church architecture, iconography, and Modern Greek studies broadly.
