Harvard Business School is seeking candidates for tenure track positions in the Business, Government, and the International Economy (BGIE) unit. We will consider candidates whose research interests and experience include international political economy, comparative political economy (of advanced industrialized or developing countries), American politics or sociology. Political scientists and sociologists are especially encouraged to apply, but candidates exploring these areas from allied disciplines (including history, economics, or law) will also be considered. The search is open with regard to methodological approach. Candidates may come directly from Ph.D. programs or from the faculties of other universities. The appointment will begin on July 1, 2012.
Requirements
All applicants should have excellent academic credentials and a demonstrated potential for conducting outstanding research. The School is particularly interested in applicants with interdisciplinary interests and strong records of, or potential for, excellence in teaching.
Successful candidates will, at the outset, teach a required first-year MBA course on the economic, political, and social environment of global business. Starting salaries will be highly competitive.
