Due to its success and increasing demand, we're launching another round. The application is currently live. I would be extremely grateful if you could forward this opportunity on to masters, PhDs, and postdocs in your department. ________________________________ Program: The Data Incubator is an intensive 8 week fellowship that prepares masters students, PhDs, and postdocs in STEM and social science fields seeking industry careers as data scientists. The program is free for Fellows and supported by sponsorships from hundreds of employers across multiple industries. In response to the overwhelming interest in our earlier sessions, we will be holding another fellowship. Who Should Apply: Anyone who has already obtained a masters or PhD degree or who is within one year of graduating with a masters or PhD is welcome to apply. African Leadership University Hiring for Faculty Positions

FYI Dear colleague, I hope this finds you well. The Center for African Studies recently received an email from the founder of the African Leadership University<https://urldefense.proofpoint.com/v2/url?u=http-3A__www.alueducation.com_&d…> (ALU), Frederick Swaniker, who is looking to recruit a few amazing, innovative Harvard graduates who have finished/will be finishing their master's and PhDs this year. ALU was ranked recently by Fast Company as the '3rd most innovative company in Africa' (ahead of Samsung Electronics). It could be a great way for a post-doc to get some teaching experience before applying for a tenure-track position (for example) back in the States. They are looking for faculty in the following areas: 1. Computer Science 2. Psychology 3. Social Sciences (Economics, Sociology, Anthropology, Political Science etc) 4. Engineering (electrical and mechanical) In addition, ALU is looking for someone to design a two year undergraduate social sciences program for a new pan-African university. In particular, ALU is hoping to find someone who can push beyond conventional disciplinary boundaries while thinking deliberately about what the future of social sciences training should look like. For context, ALU recently opened its first campus in Mauritius with 178 students from over 30 African countries. They'll have 2000 students in three years and hope to open new campuses in Kigali and Abuja by 2020.
