Subject: An Exciting Opportunity for Graduate Students and Post-Doctoral Fellows in the Sociology Department
Hello!
I am reaching out from the Tobin Project to ask if you would consider forwarding an exciting opportunity to graduate students and post-doctoral fellows in the sociology department.
The Tobin Project<https://urldefense.proofpoint.com/v2/url?u=http-3A__www.tobinproject.org&d=…> is accepting applications to present innovative, early-stage research at a conference exploring the effects of economic inequality on individual behavior and decision making. Successful applicants will have the opportunity to present the results of their pilot studies and test their research designs with leading scholars at the conference (including Marianne Bertrand, Mike Norton, and Ray Fisman, among others). The invitation-only, interdisciplinary conference will be held August 4-5, 2016 in greater Boston.
The deadline for submissions is January 11, 2016. Authors of winning submissions will be contacted in late January, at which point they will have the opportunity to apply for funding to defray research costs. Successful applicants will also be eligible for up to $20,000 in awards for final papers following the conference.
I have attached a PDF (linked here<https://urldefense.proofpoint.com/v2/url?u=http-3A__tobinproject.org_sites_…>) with additional information about the conference and application process. Do not hesitate to reach out to research(a)tobinproject.org<mailto:research@tobinproject.org> with any questions. We hope you will consider applying.
Sincerely,
Howie Rudnick
