Hello Dr. Beckfield,
I'm writing to ask if you could help distribute the attached ad for an Assistant Professor position in Sociology at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. Along with advertisements in the usual venues, we are directly contacting graduate directors at various departments in hopes that the ad could be circulated to the department's current ABDs on the job market, recent graduates, post-docs, and anyone else who may be interested.
This position is open with respect to substantive area, and some of its features may be of particular interest to potential applicants, including standard 2-2 teaching load, PhD program offered by the department, and location in a large city.
To be assured of full consideration, applications need to be received no later than December 17. The attached ad gives full details on how to apply.
If you could distribute this to any of these "on the market" groups, we would appreciate it very much. Of course feel free to follow up with any questions for me.
Thanks!
John Roberts
