The Comparative Sociology Group at the Department of Economic History
and Institutions at the Universidad Carlos III de Madrid

invites applications for three tenure-track positions as Assistant
Professor of Sociology to begin in September 1, 2011, as part of its
effort to build an internationally competitive comparative sociology
graduate program. This effort is a part of the internationalization
strategy undertaken by the Universidad Carlos III de Madrid, one of a
handful of universities recently singled-out for special funding in the
framework of the Excellence Initiative conducted by the Spanish
government in 2010.
Areas of research are open.
Please send an application letter, stating your main motivation to
apply for this position and future research plans. In addition to
this, we require a CV, writing samples, and three letters of
recommendation, including that of the dissertation supervisor.
