FYI!
The first is a temporary position that begins January 1, 2016. The teaching load consists
of two courses in winter term and two courses in spring term. We hope to attract a
candidate who an teach Intro to Soc along with sex and gender, race and ethnicity, and
social movements. Other substantive areas will be considered as well.
The second is a tenure-track position in sociological theory beginning September 1, 2016.
In addition to sociological theory, the successful candidate will be required to teach
Introduction to Sociology and an array of courses in their areas of expertise. Because we
are a small department, we hope to attract candidates who can fill gaps in our
